Miss Annie's Teaching Philosophy

Welcome! I'm Miss Annie:

I am a lifelong learner, curious traveler, and passionate educator. I believe that the heart of meaningful learning lies in noticing the small details and uncovering the rich connections that bind everything together. Whether we’re exploring ecosystems, unraveling grammar patterns, or examining the cultures that shape our world, I invite students to join me in a journey of wonder and discovery.

Before stepping into the world of online education, I spent several years teaching in classrooms, where I learned that the relationship between student and teacher is at the core of a successful learning experience. I bring that same spirit into every virtual lesson: getting to know each learner, sharing little pieces of my adventurous and curious life, and building a space where intellectual exploration feels safe and encouraged.

My teaching is deeply personal and always evolving. As a global traveler who’s visited over 40 countries, I infuse lessons with real-world stories and examples. While your family might be off exploring the world, chances are, I am too! My adventures, whether scuba diving in coral reefs, reading on a quiet train ride, or horseback riding through mountain trails, often find their way into our conversations and lessons.
